After the successful launch of the strategy of marketing Limavady as the 'Origin of Danny Boy', in Roe Park 2 years ago, the Roe Valley/Limavady Chamber of Commerce Industry and Trade is about to realise the second of the three goals it set for itself all that time ago. The organising committee of the "Danny Boy Cultural Festival" has picked a logo which will become the centre piece for this exciting event which will take place on Saturday 20th April 2002. The event will comprise an open air pageant which re-enacts the famous day when Jane Ross noted down the now world renowned melody, followed by an evening of cultural entertainment, in the Limavady College of Further and Higher Education.

The logo was designed by local man Donal O'Kane. Donal is of course a direct descendant from the O'Cahan Clan, and as such Donal's family have extremely strong to the history of the Borough.
